Hi I'm Thornton
Since 1986 I have been making Acoustic musical instruments. In the past I have produced up to about six instruments annualy, each one being totally hand built and unique. My instruments incorporate truely innovative brace designs of which are my own development. The instruments show excellent balance and feature greater sustain.
I use two types of finish, water based lacquer (satin or gloss) and oil based varnish. The finishes are very light to compliment the traditional feel of the instrument. I build with Maple, Sycamore, Mahogany, Rosewood, Yew, Cherry, Ebony and Wenge. I constantly vary my designs and have so far never made two identical instruments. All are unique!
